LaunchDarkly is a widely used feature flag platform and a reasonable default for many teams. This page compares it to rollfuse on the two questions prospective customers ask us most: how each product is priced, and where automatic rollback on a metric breach is available. Facts about LaunchDarkly come from its own public pricing page, linked inline and checked on the date shown above. Pricing pages change, so treat that page as the current word.

Where LaunchDarkly is a reasonable choice

LaunchDarkly publishes a broad SDK catalog and has a long track record with large enterprise buyers. If the widest language coverage or an established enterprise procurement process is your main criterion, it is a legitimate answer.

Where the difference shows up

The two products bill on different things. LaunchDarkly's published plans bill on service connections and client-side MAU. rollfuse's Starter and Growth plans charge a fixed monthly price per organization with a usage allowance included, and usage above that allowance is billed at the overage rate shown on our pricing page.

The other difference is packaging. LaunchDarkly's pricing page lists Guarded Rollouts on every plan and automatic rollback under Guardian, an add-on to Enterprise. On rollfuse, a guardrail (a metric, a threshold and an evaluation window attached to a rollout) is available on every plan, including Free, within that plan's guardrail limit.

The trade-off

If you need LaunchDarkly's SDK breadth or a specific integration it offers, that is a real reason to stay. If you want automatic rollback without an Enterprise add-on and a bill that doesn't depend on seat or MAU counts, that is the case for rollfuse.
