Guardrail Generator
You already have a Prometheus query that tells you when a release is going badly. This turns it into a guardrail: a metric, a threshold, and what happens when the threshold is crossed. Nothing is sent to your Prometheus, and the query never leaves your browser.
Supported query shapes
Two shapes are recognized right now:
- Latency histogram
histogram_quantile(0.95, rate(http_request_duration_seconds_bucket[5m])) - Error ratio
sum(rate(http_requests_errors_total[5m])) / sum(rate(http_requests_total[5m]))
Run this guardrail automatically with rollfuse
A guardrail here is a suggestion on a page. In rollfuse it is attached to a rollout, evaluated on a schedule, and it aborts the rollout on its own when the threshold is breached, with the metric value and the version that triggered it recorded.

Does my query get sent anywhere?
No. The query is parsed in your browser. There is no request to rollfuse or anywhere else when you generate a guardrail.
Where does the suggested threshold come from?
It is a fixed default per query shape, the kind of starting point a guardrail template ships with. The tool cannot read your metric values, so a threshold derived from your traffic would be invented.
Why does the threshold need my email?
The metric and the action are free and always visible. The threshold is behind the email so we know who is evaluating rollout safety and can follow up if you want it running for real.
Which queries does it understand?
A histogram_quantile over a duration histogram, and a ratio of two rate expressions where the numerator counts errors. Anything else comes back as unsupported instead of a wrong guess.
